"The Deterioration Of The Fight Or Flight Response" is a mostly instrumental sound collage including buzzing feedback resembling flight sounds, chimes reminiscent of Pink Floyd's "Echoes," and synthesizer. At the end of the piece, Wayne, with distorted vocals, has a single spoken lyric. It appeared on the UK Fight Test single.
