"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" is a cover of the song written by Harold Arlen with lyrics by E.Y. Harburg and sung by Judy Garland in the 1939 film, The Wizard Of Oz. The Lips have also covered "If I Only Had A Brain" from the film.

"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was regularly played during The Soft Bulletin era in both concert and radio performances. Since then, it has been reprised on two special occasions. At Bonnaroo 2003, the Lips' encore celebrated the link between Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wizard Of Oz, pairing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" with "Breathe" and "Us And Them." On their 2004 appearance on Austin City Limits, the Lips played "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" with Steven's father, Vernon Drozd, on saxophone.
