Seven Nation Army
This Lips cover takes the music of The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" and fuses it with political lyrics primarily derived from and inspired by The Butthole Surfers' "Moving To Florida" and partially of Wayne's invention. Initially a live-only effort, the cover was recorded and included as the Lips' contribution to their Late Night Tales compilation.

The Lips started to perform this cover when Jack White broke a finger in a car accident and The White Stripes had to cancel their appearances at the 2003 T in the Park and Witnness festivals. The Lips filled their slots, dressing in red and white, akin to the Stripes' stage garb, and covered the hit "Seven Nation Army." Wayne said that they would have filled their set with White Stripes material had they had more time to learn it. They would continue performing it at shows in 2003 and 2004.
