Pilot Can At The Queer Of God

Wayne's quote from Staring At Sound:

"When he [a former coworker of Wayne's from Long John Silver's who joined the army and served as the inspiration for the song] would come back from his duties, I felt like he was changed for the better. He went away and he was a hick, a chauvinist, but he came back and he'd surprise me with the things he would say about this woman, a lesbian pilot who flew Blackhawk helicopters and shot missiles and stuff. He was really impressed with her."

Steven came up with the structure of this "Pilot Can At The Queer Of God," including the main riff and the usage of the opening drum beat from Pink Floyd's "Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk" for the beginning of the song.

Oh God, has she always lived here?
(I think she has)
Oh God has she always looked like that?
(I think she has)
Oh God, God, has she forgot me?
(I think she has)
Oh God, has she joined the army?
(I think she has)
Oh God, has she left here?
(I think she has)
In her grown up years
(I think she has)
In her pilot years
(I thinks she has)
Like she came from outer space
(I think she has)

Oh god, has she turned queer?
(I think she has)
In her grown up years
(I think she has)
In a pilot dream
(I think she has)
Like she came from outer space
(I think she has)
And now she's got helicopters
(Yes she has)
And now she's got helicopters
(Yes she has)
And now she's got helicopters
(Yes she has)
And now she's got helicopters
(Yes she has)
And now she's got helicopters
(Yes she has)
And now she's got helicopters
(Yes she has)
