At the KCRW benefit concert on November 23 2002, Beck sang this with Wayne and Steven. Wayne introduced it by saying it would be great to not do an obscure duet, but in fact a cliched one. Thus, "I Got You Babe." Beck apparently didn't know they were going to do this song, and thus doesn't sing a whole lot outside the chorus of "I got you Wayne!" A good time was had by all.
After the initial KCRW benefit duet, Beck and Wayne continued to duet on this song at their own shows. The November 27 version in Oakland, CA was a riot. Wayne gave his intro about doing a cliched duet, and Beck started making up some lyrics:
