Kliph Scurlock described this song as best exemplifying Richard English's drumming style during the end credits footage of The Fearless Freaks, thrashing his arms all around and making noises to demonstrate. Richard also sang the soft verses during the song's acoustic section. "Everything's Explodin'" opens the Oh My Gawd album with a Beatles sample, the line "Take this brother, may it serve you well," from "Revolution 9."
