The "Batman Theme" from the 60s Batman television series was one of the earliest Lips recordings. It was originally composed by Neal Hefti. It was recorded as part of a demo tape that included "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere," "Handsome Johnny," and "Killer On The Radio" to book gigs in the earliest years of the band, before The Flaming Lips EP.
