In the middle of the Lips' set, Wayne invited The Magic Numbers, who had been rained out of their set earlier in the day, to come out and play a few songs. The band had come in from London and this was supposed to be their first tour date. They played two songs as a three-piece with acoustic guitar, bass and tambourine. The state fair mascot Gopher danced on stage during this show along with the usual Santas and Aliens.
