The Giant Village New Year's Eve Show was a multi-stage event set to take place in downtown Los Angeles. It was cancelled by the fire marshall just hours before it was scheduled to begin due to rain. The Lips went on to perform two New Year's Eve shows the following year, 2006, in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
