This show was originally meant to be a Parking Lot Experiment for the CMJ Music Marathon, but ended up becoming the first Boom-Box Experiment when access to a parking garage in New York City could not be secured. Scott Booker instructed the Lips to obtain boom-boxes to replace the car stereos as they made the trip from Oklahoma City to New York. The resulting performance, incorporating over 100 cassette tapes, was a big success, launching further Boom-Box Experiments. No setlist data found.
